Minutes of the 11th ECOSAI Governing Board Meeting
(April 26-28, 2006), Ankara, Turkey.

The 11th meeting of the ECOSAI Governing Board was held during 26-28 April, 2006 in Ankara, Turkey. The following heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) who are members of the ECOSAI Governing Board, attended the meeting along with their delegations.

  • Mr. Mehmet Damar, President of Turkish Court of Accounts and President of ECOSAI.
  • Mr. Muhammad Yunis Khan, Auditor General of Pakistan and Secretary General of ECOSAI.
  • Mr. Mohammad Reza Rahimi, President of the Supreme Audit Court of Iran.
  • Mr. Naming Nasrullayev, Chairman, Chamber of Accounts, Azerbaijan Republic.
  • Mr. Kubanychbek Karybaev, Auditor, Representative of the Chairman of the Kyrgyz Republic.
  • Mr. Soner Vehbi, President of SAI TRNC and Mr. Sukru Cankaya, Member of the Court of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) attended the meeting as an observer.

The 10th ECOSAI Governing Board Meeting considered an elaborate agenda and arrived at certain important decisions to further promote the ECOSAIs objectives. The participants stressed the need for increasing cooperation among the SAIs of the region and discussed various avenues for closer interaction and exchange experiences.
