and conditions of appointment of the Head of SAI: |
- Citizen of Pakistan
- An Auditor-General shall unless he sooner resigns or is
removed from office in accordance with the Constitution,
hold office until he attains the age of sixty five years
or until he completes term of five years which ever first
occurs.
- The Auditor- General shall not hold any other office of
profit in the service of Pakistan or occupy any other position
carrying the right to remuneration for the rendering of
services.

| Privileges
of the Head of SAI: |
- Salary
20% higher than the maximum salary payable to a Secretary
to the Government of Pakistan.
- Entitled to all such benefits including entitlement pertaining
to travel, as are admissible to a Minister of State.

defined by Article 169 to 171 of the Constitution and Ordinance
No.XXIII of 2001 |

Reports
relating to the accounts of the Federation are submitted to
the President of Pakistan while Reports relating to the accounts
of the Provinces are submitted to Governor of the respective
Province, who causes them to be laid before the National or
the Provincial Assembly, as the case may be. |
