Minutes of the 6h ECOSAI Training Committee Report

The 6th ECOSAI Training Committee meeting was held in Ankara, Turkey on April 26, 2006. The meeting was attended by the delegates from Iran, Turkey Pakistan and Republic of Azerbaijan. The Representative of the SAI TRNC participated as observer. The following agendas were discussed.

• Funding of ECOSAI Training Initiative.
• Planning for Training Need Assessment.
• Identification of new themes for inclusion in ECOSAI training plan.
• Revised Calendar of Courses.

The SAI Turkey highlighted the need for a professional intervention about establishing a sustainable training infrastructure which will form the basis for capacity development for which they proposed to distribute a working paper among the ECOSAI members. The SAI Iran proposed and SAI Azerbaijan supported that interpretation facilities may be made an integral part of the ECOSAI Training Programs.
